Daycare description / philosophy

At Starlight Child Care Centre we strongly believe that it is through play that children learn best.

We provide a play base centre environment with a wide range of materials and developmentally appropriate activities which allow children to discover, explore, make choices and create to their own interests.

Starlight Child Care Centre provides a PRESCHOOL program for children 3 years old - 5 years old.

At preschool, we encourage our children to learn about different
cultures, days of the week, months, seasons, weather, numbers, letters, names, birthdays, addition, subtraction, shapes, sizes, colours and much more. We believe by having a preschool program in our centre children learn how to take turns, share ideas, and socialize in groups.

Starlight Child Care Centre provides hot lunches, morning and afternoon snacks.

Staff members are qualified with a Early Childhood Educator Certificate, Special Needs, Infant and Toddler Certificate, First Aid and CPR & AED

Our ratio is 4 children to 1 caregiver, with a max of 8 children.
